The royal baby made his first public appearance today with his parents, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The family of three looked completely content as they posed outside of St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle (the same location as the Duke and Duchess' wedding reception!) today, just two days after the royal baby was delivered.
Markle, 37, wore a stunning white sleeveless dress and looked happy and relaxed as Prince Harry, 34, cradled their new “bundle of joy” in his arms. The photo opp continues the couple's habit of skirting royal tradition. Historically, births in the royal family (both Princess Diana and Kate Middleton obliged) have been followed by photos on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital. The Duke and Duchess, however, chose to spend the first two days in private with their newborn.
The couple, who married in May 2018, told reporters at Windsor Castle that they're loving parenting so far. "It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing," Markle said when asked what it's like being a new mother. " I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy," she added.
"It’s great. Parenting is amazing," Prince Harry said. "It’s only been two and a half days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy."
The royals also mentioned that Baby Sussex "has the sweetest temperament". Prince Harry jokingly added, "I don’t know where he gets that from!"
Baby Sussex's name has yet to be announced; after Markle gave birth, Harry told reporters that they're "still thinking about names." Surely, the royal family will keep us updated once a decision is made.
Congratulations to the beautiful new family!
