As if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry weren't already couple goals. During their recent trip to South Africa, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about the lessons that parenting has taught her and how Prince Harry is adapting to fatherhood. In fact, she gushed about him being "the best dad."
The Duke and Duchess's trip was in partnership with Waves for Change, an organization provides mental health services to vulnerable young people living in under resourced communities. While participating in a group mindfulness activity in which everyone was asked to identify a strength, People reports that one coach said Markle's strength was dancing.
“[Markle] laughed and said, ‘not that,’“ Ash Heese, a manager for Waves for Change recalled. “She said parenting is the new strength that she and Harry are learning.”
Heese also said that Markle called her husband "the best dad" before Prince Harry interrupted, saying, "No, she’s the best mom.“ Needless to say, baby Archie is in good hands.
This is the first time the Duchess has gushed about Prince Harry. For his birthday earlier this month, she shared a special photo collage of his life on Instagram along with a touching tribute in the caption. "You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son."
Clearly, family continues to be a huge priority to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, which just makes us love them more.
The South Africa trip is also the the family's first tour as a family of three, as they brought almost five-month-old son Archie along with them. “The couple hopes to be able to include Archie at some point in the program, but it is difficult to schedule because he is five months old,” a source told People. Some sources say he will make his debut at a youth reception at the British High Commissioner’s residence later today.
