Earlier this morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Instagram to share the family photo deemed precious enough to be featured on their official Christmas card. Taken by Chris Jackson, the Getty Image Royal Photographer, the portrait shows Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Kensington Palace. Sporting coordinated shades of blue, the Royal Family looks picture-perfect.
The caption reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year. The photograph shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their two children at Kensington Palace. It was taken earlier this year by @chrisjacksongetty.”
The photo was said to be taken earlier this year, hence the absence of Kate’s baby bump that's been spotted at recent royal engagements. She is expecting her third child in April 2018, just one month before Princess Charlotte turns three.
Also announced in the caption was some exciting news with regard to the soon-to-be big sister, Princess Charlotte. The Kensington Palace announced that she will be attending Willcocks Nursery School in London come January 2018. They shared the school’s excitement in the Instagram caption, saying: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January."
