The Ankle Bracelet Is Making A Major Comeback

From cargo pants to fanny packs and even bike shorts, there's no shortage of '90s trends creeping back into the forefront of fashion…and they're not alone. One of the biggest accessories from the decade, the ankle bracelet, has also made a major return–and considering how wearable and flattering the trend is, we're totally here for it.

While chunkier options seemed to dominate in prior decades, today the trend gets an elevated update thanks to the dainty styles that offer a barely-there look, serving up a seriously chic take on the anklet that you can easily sport all summer long, both on and off the beach.

If you're ready to embrace the ankle bracelet, be sure to pay careful attention to the type of shoe you wear it with. An ankle-strap or caged sandal will interfere with the trend, so it's best to rock it with a flat sandal, sneaker, or mule.

The jewelry trend totally caught our eye when we saw the eternally stylish Victoria Beckham send anklets down the runway on her models during the 2018 show and since then celebrities have also embraced the look, with everyone from Rihanna to Selena Gomez stepping out sporting ankle bracelets–but no one is as big of a supporter of the trend as Jennifer Lopez, who, back in 2015, continously showed off stylish ankle bracelets on the red carpet.

While JLo opted for gold and diamonds, we've rounded up more affordable finds if you're interested in trying the anklet trend this summer.

Rebecca Minkoff for Stella & Dot Delicate Landon Anklet, ($44;
