If you’re looking for a confidence boost before trying on swimsuits this season, look no further: Body activist Ashley Graham is at it again. The model just launched a new collection of Swimsuits For All, a size-inclusive swimwear line that comes in sizes 4 to 22, and is promoting the pieces with untouched, unedited photos herself in the suits. What’s more, the photos come courtesy of the paparazzi, who are known for cashing in on “unflattering” bikini pictures of celebrities.
“I’m not ashamed of a few lumps, bumps and cellulite…and you shouldn’t be either,” Graham wrote on Instagram. Her confidence and curves have no doubt broken boundaries in the industry. Not only is she a top model, appearing on the covers of fashion magazines like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, but she was the first plus-size model to land the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2016, which was a huge step forward in body acceptance.
The campaign, called “Power of Paparazzi,” is meant to remind women to enjoy swimsuit season instead of focusing on body image. Looking at paparazzi photos from the Summer 2018 shoot in Miami, the brand thought, “why not use these as the campaign images?” Genius — and gorgeous — if you ask us.
It seems to be working, too, as fans are encouraged by the campaign. One follower commented: “Oh my goodness this makes me feel okay about my cellulite. I wish more models would do this. #lovetheskinyourein.”
Graham’s new swimsuit collection is available now on swimsuitsforall.com. The 1920’s Art Deco style suits are super-sexy with plunging necklines, illusion thongs, strappy backs, and embellished detailing. Prices range from $102 to $120.
