Dry skin getting you down? Follow these three easy steps to keep your skin moisturized this spring.
- Drinking enough water has a direct effect on your skin. To keep skin supple and soft, consume at least eight glasses a day. And avoid caffeine—it’s a diuretic and will suck you dry.
- Nix hot showers. It can be tempting to turn up the heat when you’re sudsing, but overly hot temps can strip skin of its natural moisture barrier, and that barrier is necessary to keep your skin hydrated.
- Lock in hydration right after you towel off from your lukewarm shower. If your skin is still damp, it’s more likely to absorb a moisturizer.
