7 Top Trends from the CEW Insider’s Beauty Awards Product Demo
The easiest way to describe the Cosmetic Executive Women Insiders’ Beauty Awards Product Demo is the beauty industry equivalent to Comic Con. As far as the eye can see, there are rows of tables of the newest innovations from every beauty brand you can think of. Navigating the space can be tough to tackle, but a slew of beauty bloggers got to chat with CEW President Carlotta Jacobson this week to talk the biggest trends to emerge from last year. Check out her insights below:
At-Home Gel Manis – As if #ManiMonday couldn’t get any bigger, the industry responded in spades. Now you can skip the salon and host your own gel polish party with kits from the likes of Deborah Lippmann, Sally Hansen, and Mally Beauty with all the tools you needs for a long-lasting manicure.
Bold Brows – Goodbye Jean Harlow and hello Cara Delevingne! Bold brows have made a big comeback and everyone from Pixi, to Elizabeth Arden, and even Laura Geller have provided multi-purpose tools to fill in any thinner areas and tame the rest for youthful look.
Skin Volumizers – While wrinkles are easily wiped away with creams and Botox nowadays, sagging skin is the big anti-aging issue we’re now contending with. Luckily new serums and treatments from Avon, Estée Lauder, and La Roche Posay are among the many who took the challenge head on to maintain taut skin.
Spot Treatments – We love to see spots run, especially when it comes to dark spots from acne scars and sun damage. But now we have more options for getting the job done with new targeting serums and correctors from Shiseido, Eau Thermale Avène, Origins, and more.
Dark Circle Treatments –With the lack of sleep from Fashion Week, we quickly became acquainted with our own dark circles, searching for a fast and easy solution. Luckily brands like Clinique, Korres, Peter Thomas Roth and more shortened our quest for bright eyes.
Tech Skin Care – Who has time to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist to get your skin in tiptop shape? You can now DIY a lot of the treatments you’d find in the doctor’s office from the comfort of your home thanks to devices from Light Stim and NuFace, which earned its own category this year.
