Mulberry once again called on Cara Delevingne to be the face of its Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, and tapped a host of furry friends, too. The shoot documents a tea party hosted by the model and attended by some pretty adorable creatures, which included cows, dogs, cockatoos, and ponies. This quintessential British tea party perfectly represents the brand as Cara brings an edge to the flowery table, which sets the stage for her second Mulberry campaign. Delevingne shared a snapshot herself on New Year’s day via Instagram.
Shot by Tim Walker at Oxfordshire's Shotover House and directed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme, the photos are snapshots of the calmer moments that must have been few and far between on this zoo of a photoshoot. From the adorable pony named Dusty eyeing the white envelope clutch to the long-beaked bird going after her snakeskin sandals, we must admit that we’d get animalistic too if we were surrounded by clothes and leather goods as beautiful as these.
With a perfect balance of whimsy and controlled chaos, it’s clear that Mulberry throws a great garden party. It also puts out killer campaigns, as the romantic setting is what little girls’ dreams are made of – the flawless realization of our own tea parties that were only attended by our closest stuffed animals. Delevingne gets real live animals to come to hers, which is another reason that we sort of want to be her.
