She's a style star with a special place in her closet for all things denim, so it's about time Alexa Chung created her own line of jeans. Teaming up with AG Adriano Goldschmied, the British TV presenter and model is set to launch a 20-piece collection of skinnies, tees, and frocks in early 2015.
"The collection is inherently the missing pieces of my dream denim wardrobe, which, as ever, is predominantly inspired by a late sixties, early seventies aesthetic," she shared with Women's Wear Daily.
To assure that each part of the line perfectly aligned with her refined grungy aesthetic, Chung spent time in thrift shops in the southern area of the United States as research, and even visited the AG production factory in California to learn more about the process behind making each piece.
"I found the trip incredibly inspiring and an opportunity to learn about denim and make things I had been dreaming about finding," she explained.
We've seen Chung rocking distressed denim, sleek jean trousers, overalls, cut-offs, and everything in between, so we're sure this line will evoke the same creativity and versatility that she brings into her own style aesthetic. If the success of her 2011 partnership with Madewell is any indication of the brilliance this collaboration is sure to bring, then we say add this to your 2015 shopping list ASAP!
