Angelina Jolie Launches Jewelry Line for Education

Angelina Jolie is once again using her name for fashion to do good throughout the world.

The star and UNHCR Goodwill ambassador is launching a personally designed jewelry collection, the Style of Jolie, with help from longtime jewelry designer Robert Procop. The collection will be released to retailers this week with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting her new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. Many of the pieces are based on a unique historic tablet design Jolie created for a necklace that she gave to Brad Pitt.

She’s already put funds from the non-profit to use good use by building a school for girls in Afghanistan, E! News is reporting. She chose a region just outside of Kabul with a high refugees population where a boy’s education is favored over a girl’s. With between 200 and 300 girls already enrolled, Jolie shows no signs of slowing down, vowing to use the funds to help build more schools around the world. “Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need,” she explained.

The Style of Jolie will be available exclusively in Tivol, a Kansas City jeweler, starting this week with a special event to launch the collection with Procop. Take a look at the collection here.
