It's her party and she'll wear what she wants to. Anna Wintour is most definitely a creature of habit. The Vogue editor-in-chief continues to wear Chanel to the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala regardless of which brand is hosting. Though tonight's celebration honors the work of Alexander McQueen, Wintour took to the red carpet in a Karl Lagerfeld creation.
For this evening's festivities, Wintour chose a sequin embroidered gown from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture Collection. Her daughter Bee Shaffer went for a crimson Balenciaga gown.; the hue was one of McQueen's favorites!
