Aptly timed for the holiday season and following her recent nuptials,Anne Hathaway graces the December 2012 cover of Vogue, dressed in a decadent green off the shoulder frock, accessorized with pink lips, a deep stare, and simple diamond earrings. Clearly, the newly married starlet's transformed from an impressionable young actress to a well poised talent, starring as Fatine in Les Misérables.
Through her interview with the fashion bible, Hathaway speaks to her mother's talent, (who also played Fantine, but at the culmination of her career) her current blessed position in life, desire for children, and marriage to longtime boyfriend, Adam Schulman. While the world's already seen images of her Valentino wedding dress, Hathaway's description of working with the designer trumps all. “I begged him during the first fitting to make the train detachable. He looked at me and said”—she imitates the designer’s distinctively refined Italian accent—“ ‘But it is a dress, not a costume.’ The memory of creating it with him is something that I will treasure forever. He somehow read my mind and designed the dress that I’d always wanted.”
