"Water is Love is Life is Water." The mantra, which is printed on the Evian bottles Diane Von Furtenberg designed, became the theme of the luncheon that took place Thursday afternoon at the Soho Beach House in Miami to celebrate the collaboration.
Von Furstenberg stayed true to the bottle's message. She exhibited her aquatic proclivity in a H20 inspired frock and took a phone call while she waded in the ocean, she then shared the water with the loves of her life--her children. Von Furthenberg's son Alex and his fiancé Aly Kay brought the proud grandma a framed photo of her infant grandson Leon, which she accepted with glee.
The hostess was also particularly excited to greet Art Basel stalwarts Paris and Nicky Hilton, Diesel founder Renzo Rosse, and on-again, off-again couple Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs. A lunch of Caesar salad, mozzarella and tomato, quinoa, and a mixed grill of lobster, steak, chicken and was servedwas delightfully served in the sand; sun deprived New Yorkers had their meals outside while the ones who obey their dermatologist sat inside the tent. Though the still water provided the hydration, the crowd didn't shy away from other libations. Handler indulged in a mojito or two, while Russell Simmonns ordered his own green juice from the property's restaurant.
Guests couldn't help but pause to express their gratitude for the stunning sojourn. "Beauty is in nature," said Diane and the proof was in the turquoise sea sparkling behind her. For our part, we left wishing every work luncheon could be as magical as this one was.
