If you're like me, there's a shamelessness when it comes to finding out where to score a style you've spotted on the street. I've chased girls down, ladies, just to ask them where their shoes are from. We're dedicated to fashion here at Glam, after all.
It's harder though, when it comes to tracking down a desired item seen on model in a street style photograph or in an uncredited magazine image. Or maybe you'd rather be coy about finding out where someone's ensemble is from. For both scenarios, there's ASAP54, the stylista's new favorite iTunes app. Simply open the application and take a picture of the wanted item. Using visual search technology, ASAP54 will scan over 150 retailers, including Net-a-Porter, Barneys, Harrods, J Crew, Topshop and The Outnet, and 1 million products to discover the style you're looking for. Think of it like Soundhound or Shazam, except with clothes.
There's the social aspect of the app too. Follow other users and draw inspiration from their searches and fashion choices. The London based app also has a database of stylists on hand to help you find similar looks if ASAP54 can not identify your exact necessity. They'll email you within 24 hours of your search with five items that could possibly work.
Explained creator Daniela Cecilio to Farfetch, "I was also looking for a simple way to be connected to what my friends and muses were coveting. I loved the idea of a sneaky peak into other peoples fashion searches that I can turn to for inspiration." The brand new start-up claims Cara Delevingne is already a fan, though we must note it sounds a bit like Style-Eyes. Will you be trying it out anyways?
