Backstage Beauty Beat: Thakoon Spring 2014

The Hair:Odile Gilbert opted for soft textured style by blowing strands after coating them in Kérastase's Mousse Bouffant. She then sprayed the Laque Dentelle to create big curls with an iron and shook them out into loose waves, adding a blast of Powder Bluff for added texture. To create a bend in the hair at the neck, Gilbert loosely tied an elastic around the neck to follow its slope and blowdrying the top before adding another blast from the hairspray to finish.

The Makeup: “It was all about the lashes with fresh skin, a bit of dimension, and a pink lip,” Diane Kendal explained. She turned to the Sheer Glow Foundation and the upcoming Anguilla and Cappadoce Matte Multiples to create that glow from within. Eyes were left sparse with just a curl of the lashes, a few swipes of the Larger Than Life Mascara and a dusting of Bali Eyeshadow on the brows. Lips were kept neutral thanks to the upcoming Laos Matte Multiple.

The Mani: To resemble the pearls features in the accessories, Gina Edwards layered Morgan Taylor's “Heaven Sent” under “Adorned in Diamonds” on elongated tips.
