Backstage Beauty Beat: Yigal Azrouel Spring 2014

The Show:Yigal Azrouel

The Hair:Bumble and Bumble's James Pecis had an innovative approach to the wet chignon. After dousing the hair with the brand's signature hairspray, they raked the hair back into the chignon, doing their best not to make things to smooth. They then wrapped the hair in a silk scarf before blowing it dry to keep the look and compress the hair until showtime.

The Makeup:Lucia Pica kept the look fresh and clean with Kevyn Aucoin's the Sensual Tinted Balm and a dab of the upcomingBloodroses Lip & Cheek Liquid Stain on the cheeks. The eyes were sparse with minimal mascara and a layering of The Creamy Glow in Medium under The Lip Gloss in Claudine. But the brows were brushed up with a touch of brow gel and filled in with pencil. And The Sensual Lip Balm kept the pout moist for when they took the runway.

The Mani:Gina Edwards crafted a custom nude polish for the show before adding a line across the tip with Morgan Taylor's “Little Black Dress.”
