The Rachel Zoe Project is officially over after five seasons!
Well, not actually, we had a feeling that the inevitable would soon be upon us: a Bravo lineup minus the reality TV show chronicling the stylist, new designer, and mother of two. The ratings for the show had been dangerously low sparking rumors of a pending cancellation for some time now, but the final nail in the coffin came from Rachel Zoe in an interview with Capitol File magazine.
“The Rachel Zoe Project was meant to be a show solely based on fashion and designers and all that, and clearly it wasn’t,” she said in the glossy where she serves as cover girl. “I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t want my personal life on television.'”
We can only infer that perhaps she means all of the story lines following her decision to have a child, the season following the subsequent pregnancy, and the last season that aired where she balanced it all in front of Bravo’s cameras. In fact, there wasn’t much that Zoe didn’t deal with in front of the cameras including losing two assistants, one who has gone own to earn his own spin-off, Brad Goreski.
No word yet on if Goreski’s show, It’s a Brad, Brad World will remain in Bravo’s fashion night line-up after also receiving low ratings last season. For now, we'll have to wait and see.
