Make room on your vanity for a new star powered fragrance, as Ariana Grande’s entering the fragrance fray. The songbird announced her first scent will hit shelves in the fall, given her admitted penchant for fruity-florals perfumes could indicate what kind of aroma she’ll create. As she explained to Women’s Wear Daily, “I have always been obsessed with perfume. I always carried like six different scents in my bag, another three in my suitcase, and another couple in my car. I do have favorites, but I really want to create something that encompasses everything I love, which is why I am so excited to create my personal fragrance I can call my own.” [InStyle]

Cut Video’s Latest installment in its 100 Years of Beauty series shifts the focus from America to Iran. The clip blends beauty and politics as it noted how the hijab tradition was banned in 1936 in order to appeal to Western ideals with women sporting sky-high hairstyle in the ‘60s and sultry eye makeup in the ‘70s. The hijab becoming mandatory in 1979 and Iranian women began to fight for equal rights, using the head covering as not only a symbol of modesty but also as an act of political defiance though now it’s also become an accessory to complement incredible eye looks we all covet.
