Best Dressed: Shailene Woodley Proves Simple Style Equals Success
It may not be an iconic Moonman trophy, but we're gifting Shailene Woodley a less tangible award for donning our favorite outfit of the 2013 VMAs. That's bragging rights for you, Miss Woodley! The newly dark haired actress, who cropped her locks last week and dyed them brown shortly after, may not have had the flashiest or trendiest outfit of the night, but her chic skirt and crop-top pairing proved fresh, stylish, and flattering. Furthermore, we loved how wearable the result was. A style like this is cool enough for a red carpet, but would turn heads during a normal night out on the town too during this season and even the ones to come.
Woodley chose to showcase her cut abs once again in a simple neoprene top, keeping her accessories, black suede-mesh Casadei pumps and a matching Chad Ypon cuff bracelet, understated as well. This allowed her embellished v-line Emilio Pucci Resort 2014 skirt to really steal the show, and a piece that beautiful deserves the utmost attention. Hot off the heels of her last film, The Spectacular Now, Woodley joined her latest co-star, Theo James, on stage to debut the trailer for their upcoming movie, Divergent, at the awards show. With a positive reaction from the crowd and fans, the sneak peak didn't seem to disappoint. With Divergent's successful showing and a killer outfit, it looks like Woodley may have had the greatest night ever.
