Carine Roitfeld has been Tom Ford's muse, transformed French Vogue, and inspired countless designers, editors, and stylists, and now she is adding another creative credential to her resume. Barneys New York has tapped Roitfeld to be its guest editor, stylist, and the muse for fall. Barneys is continuing it's fashion evolution and the former editrix's appointment marks a sharp departure from the likes of Simon Doonan, who previously influenced the retailer's voice and aesthetic. According to Women's Wear Daily, Roitfeld will collaborate with photographer Mario Sorrenti and creative director Dennis Freedman on the fall ad campaign, catalogue, and mailers. She will also style the store's Madison Avenue windows in September so expect a unique display on Fashion's Night Out.
