DESIGNER: Carolina Herrera
INSPIRATION: Music. Herrera collaborated with London-based composer Tom Hodge and producer Javier Pearl to create a musical score inspired by Beethoven's Kreutzer Violin Sonata titled "Capriccio for Carolina." The score was romantic, dramatic, and conveyed a sense of fantasy, much like Herrera's confections.
TRENDS: 1940's silhouettes, tiny waists, flirty skirts, romantic floral prints, soft colors juxtaposed by rich jewel tones.
PALETTE: Rose quartz, sandstone, tiger-eye and jewel tones of ruby, sapphire, and emerald green.
WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: The social set, most especially Mrs. Herrera's daughters, who the collection seemed to be made for.
WHO WAS THERE:Molly Sims, Maggie Grace, Julie Henderson, Ivanka Trump, and a slew of socialites
