Carol’s Daughter Opens a Salon Inside Its Harlem Shop
Calling all Carol’s Daughter devotees: it’s time to head up to Harlem!
The beauty brand has transformed its Big Apple flagship into a new salon called Mirror with a focus on healthy hair through natural solutions for relaxing hair for all ethnicities.
Founder Lisa Price partnered with entrepreneur Robin D. Groover, who pioneered the Ceramic Fusion Styling Technique that involves steaming a cocktail of customized conditioners into the hair after shampooing and finishing with a ceramic flatiron. “Everyone kept telling me that I needed to meet Robin, that she had this amazing steam technique,” Price told Women's Wear Daily. “Once I met her, we talked for hours and knew we wanted to do something together.”
Over half of the flagship’s 2,000 square feet is dedicated to the new venture, complete with three shampoo sinks and mirrors above them, so the client can see how to use the products; three smaller sinks for customers to test the products; and four styling stations that will offer blowouts, twists and curls, cuts, and color with consultations that include a scalp analysis, density evaluation, porosity test, and elasticity test.
With services ranging from $35-$85 to start, get ready to book your appointments when the salon opens on Monday!
