Celebrity Co-ord Connoisseurs Prove This Split Style is Here to Stay
Remember last spring when we declared go-together separates the trend to try? Well, a year later, we're still standing by the style…and so are Hollywood's hottest ladies. The matchy-matchy style consists of a crop top and coordinating knee to tea-length skirt. We're calling the look by its shortened fashion world name though, the co-ord, and we suggest you get co-operating with it.
Lucy Hale in Tibi and Elizabeth Banks wearing Jenny Packham had different takes on the co-ord trend this month despite both choosing an icy blue hue. Hale's ensemble had a casual, sporty aesthetic to it, while Banks went with a black tie appropriate version of the look in her sequined and feather detailed separates. As for the women who wore metallics, Jamie Chung and Kim Kardashian looked edgy in their sleek separates. Chung styled her high waisted A-line skirt and matching top, both from Zara, with a gold studded BCBG moto jacket. Kardashian was metal clad from head to toe in a chrome pencil skirt and coordinating cropped turtleneck top. Her style allowed a little more ab action than her fellow fashionistas.
To get the look, start with a circle style skirt and a boxy crop top–your most versatile option. Complete your casual co-ord top and bottom with ankle strap sandals and rock this flirty, fun outfit for your next spring outing.
