You won't be able to see the stages with the sun in your eyes! Pack a sturdy pair of sunglasses, and a backup just in case. It may be wise to leave your most expensive pair at home though as anything is bound to happen during Coachella (such as, but not limited to, spontaneous crowd surfing resulting in the loss of your sunnies).

Short boots
A lower calf length bootie will keep your feet protected and your look trendy. Don't go too high or your legs will get hot!

A standout tank
Whatever color, pattern or trend you choose, this piece should represent your personal style. A festival friendly aztec patterned crop top? A boxy floral sleeveless tee? A flowy racer-back? An oversized tank with a bright bandeau underneath? We can go on; The possibilities are endless!

Cutoff shorts
A festival must-have, cut-off denim shorts are comfortable, versatile, easy to wash, and can be paired with pretty much anything on top! Choose between high-waisted or hip-skimming, baggy or extra short and faded or dark wash.

Medium sized cross body satchel
Not too big and not too small, a roomy satchel that measures to, let's say, a foot across, is the perfect bag for Coachella. It will fit all your necessities, from your wallet to your camera, and with a cross body strap, stays close to your person for safe keeping.

Sleeveless flowy frock
The best article of clothing to beat the heat in is a a flowy sundress. With an array of silhouettes to choose from, from a short fit and flare frock to a calf hitting maxi, there's a dress for every Coachella lady. Pair it with short boots for a super laid back look.

Slouchy thigh length military jacket
You'll need an extra layer for evening, and a hooded tan or olive green oversized military jacket or light parka is the way to go. The material is resilient and versatile- the perfect overcoat for any Coachella outfit. It's slouchy enough to fit a cardigan under in case the temperature really drops, but it works perfectly by itself too, giving off that sought after music festival veteran vibe.

We love heels as much as the next girl, but pumps were not meant for walking around in all day, standing for long periods of time in nor for enthusiastic dancing. Skip the stilettos and go for a shoe that's still stylish but more practical for a music festival.

Our usual go-to is a style to skip for this particular occasion. The Indio, California sun is too hot, and a pair of skinnies will be stifling.

Heavy layers
Along with jeans, anything wool, fur, heavy or bulky is totally unnecessary. See above for what warmer attire you should pack for when the sun goes down.

Tiny clutches and giant totes
A clutch is a cute style accessory this spring, but it's likely to get dropped or lost amidst the chaos of Coachella. Furthermore, not much can fit in it; You want a purse with enough room for your essentials (wallet, phone, keys) plus a few extra necessities (sunscreen, snack bar, hand sanitizer). While an oversized tote can fit all those things and more, it's likely to get in the way when your standing in front of a jam-packed stage.

Leather clothing
While this trend is still hot for spring, leave the leather to more dressed up occasions and not for the outdoor, daytime heat. Leather doesn't breathe or move, making it an uncomfortable choice for an event like Coachella. Plus, it's not the most practical material to clean, and a weekend hanging out all day in the Indio Valley means you're likely to get dirty at one point of another.

Strapless tops and frocks
The last thing you want to worry about during Coachella is the possibility of a nip slip. A lot of music means a lot of dancing, and pulling your top up every 30 seconds is not a move you want to be caught doing.

Dirty feet is not a good look. Crowds, mud, dirt and trash are bound to become familiar parts of your Coachella weekend. Protect your feet and opt to keep the toes covered. If you insist on wearing sandals, got for a pair with straps and support, like these beauties.
