The Musèe Galliera is marking its fall re-opening with a remarkable collection of Azzedine Alaia pieces!
The designer revealed that his exhibit, curated by the musuem’s director Oliver Saillard, will showcase 100 dresses pulled directly from the designer’s archive. According to Women's Wear Daily, the exhibition will spread over to the Musèe d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris to include some of his pieces as well.
Though, Alaia isn’t content to stop there. A flagship is also in the works at 5 Rue de Marigan where Alaia predicts it will be the next “Avenue Montaigne,” which is the Paris equivalent to New York’s Fifth Avenue. Alaia’s expert interior designer friends Marc Newson, Martin Szekely and Kris Ruhs will help create the store’s lighting and furniture.
We can’t wait to see what else the designer does next!
