Napoleon Perdis doesn't do subtle. Since he got his start in 1995, the makeup maestro has always opted for the vibrant and dramatic beauty looks that blurred the line between runway and reality, much to every makeup maven's delight. He turned his love of beauty into his eponymous Makeup-Up Academy, even publishing a helpful manual,Forever Flawless, for novice to sharpen their skills. Glam caught up with the beauty buff as he spread his message of "more is more fun" in the Lone Star State in the midst of terrible winter weather!

So chilly here in Dallas but excited to see my team! I check some emails and begin my way to our newest Neiman Marcus store in Forth Worth TX! While in the car, I look one more time at the briefing I have prepared for our staff training.

8:30 a.m.

Our meeting begins! Briefing with my team on how to achieve our latest feature: "Get The Look" that Rihanna has on the latest Harper's Bazaar cover...where she is swimming with sharks! We demonstrate on a model how to recreate that sultry look for any customer.

Q&A session with our folks. They always have great follow-up and am so impressed by their eagerness to be a part of providing a great Napoleon Perdis customer experience. I have always called our customer our Empress...and I am so lucky that our staff, worldwide, shares that same view!

10:00 a.m.

Photo ops! I like having some time to say thank you individually to our staff.

10:15 a.m.

Time to pop over for a quick look at our newest counter. Really proud of this moment!

Back on the road, but extremely carefully as the snow is really picking up! Who knew it snowed this much in Dallas?! Due to the weather and the increasingly heavy snowfall, it takes a couple of hours to get from Ft. Worth to my next location, at Neiman Marcus Northpark, in Dallas. This is a personal appearance, where I get to meet customers and fans of the brand. These are so important to me, as I view it as quite an honor to meet our customers. The personal connections made at these events can last for so long and are always at the top of my mind when developing new colors and products to enhance our range.

12:00 p.m.

Prior to the appearance, I meet with our team to do a quick huddle and make sure we are on the same page! We also talk about how to achieve a hot look similar to Rihanna's on the Harper's Bazaar cover. We demo that and do a quick product overview, so we are focused.

1:00-4:00 p.m.

We are on the floor customizing looks for our clients one-on-one. So exciting, and so proud that, despite the weather, we had some folks looking to meet and talk makeup. The women of Dallas are so confident, beautiful and definitely speak their minds when it comes to knowing what they want. The ideal Napoleon Perdis customer!

4:15 p.m.

Back in the car heading back to the hotel. While we drive carefully through the snow and it is the perfect time to catch up with my offices in Sydney and Los Angeles. My Sydney office connects me to my General Manager, Australia, regarding follow-up on a few things.

5:30 p.m.

We finally make it! Time to get ready for dinner at a new Dallas hotspot, Proof + Pantry. Won't be too late a night as I have another appearance tomorrow, in Neiman Market Willow Bend, in Plano, TX. Then tomorrow back to California for Monday meetings with my Los Angeles office.
