VIBs beware. Your wallets are about to weep. Deborah Lippmann is finally coming to Sephora!
After recently releasing her heavy metal, sparkle-encrusted Jewel Heist collection for the fall, the nail authority crafted an exclusive assortment of shades to mark her entry into the retailer. The four polishes retain her signature use of song-centric names, including 99 Luftballoons, a super shimmery fuchsia; Chasing Pavements (we always love a little Adele), a creamy gray; She-Bop, a pink cream that's the sophisticated sister of her classic Candy Shop; and Lilac Wine, a lilac cream. Lippmann moonlights as a singer, adding new hits to her repertoire constantly, which explains her musically inspired pigments (remember her fun punk collection?).
While manicure masters have looked to her e-commerce as well as Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, and Nordstrom in order to get their fix, nail novices believed she was in Sephora all along. “Given Sephora’s reach, we wanted to prepare adequately to enter Sephora, to be able to fulfill orders properly and keep up with reorders," Lippmann explained to Women's Wear Daily. "That required reaching a proper size and having a fair amount of visibility before entering such a big retailer.”
To celebrate, the nail guru will host a live chat on Sephora Beauty Talk to answer questions from her fans and the nail studio stations will feature a video of Lippmann while they create their own looks. You can bet we’ll be tuning in for her words of wisdom!
Available in August at Sephora.com for $17-$19 and in-store in September.
