DESIGNER: Dennis Basso
INSPIRATION: “The great contemporary American artists, creating luxury occasion clothes and furs for the celebratory woman.” In other words, all things upper echelon, decadent, and grand for the woman who’s known to make an entrance.
PALETTE: White, black, emerald, platinum grey, sapphire, fuchsia, Bordeaux, teal.
TRENDS: Satin, lace, metallic tweeds, sequins, pinstripes, furs (of chinchilla, sable, broadtail, and fox persuasion), jewel tones, full-length coats.
WHO WAS THERE: Beyoncé’s stylist Ty Hunter, Mary J. Blige, June Ambrose, the Real Housewives of New York, Robert Verdi, Olivia Palermo, Debra Messing, Giuliana Rancic, Sarah Rafferty and Katie Cassidy.
WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: Heiresses, ice queens, Kim Kardashian (pre-Kanye when her fur game was at its peak), and real housewives the world over.
