Designer Travel: Donatella Versace’s Suite Stay in Mykonos

It's always nice to vacation with the stars, but we're far more interested in knowing where some of our favorite designers stay when they travel. The chic set knows how to globe-trot in style. And when it comes to living the good life, few do it better than Donatella Versace. The creative force spent much of the Summer of 2010 in Mykonos where she stayed at Kivotos. The hotel, which is located on the picturesque Ornos Bay, is one of The Leading Small Hotels of the World.

Kivotos, which means Noah's Ark in Greek, provides a tranquil respite from the city's hard partying center. Versace enjoyed her stay in the Atlantis VIP Suite, which features two bedrooms, a private pool, and in-suite jacuzzis. She had initially only booked the room for a few days and ended up staying for over two months. Her dog was also well taken care of on the trip; the kitchen prepared gourmet meals for her daily. Though Versace spent much of her time talking walks along the beach and enjoying the best of Mykonos, she couldn't resist the magical SPA and Hammam.

Jean Paul Gaultier and Calvin Klein have also stayed in Kivotos' VIP Suites and it's no wonder. The property boasts an extensive collection of art and unique artifacts scouted from flea markets across the globe, which makes the haute hotel an inspiring place to visit.

Summer is the best time to visit Kivotos and catch some stylish star sightings. For more details and to book a room visit Kivotosclubhotel, com.
