All summer long I watched as the style set rocked embellished sunglasses covered in pearls, rhinestones and flowers. And since I try to live by the motto "DIY Till I Die," I knew it was finally time for me to take on this trend first hand.
Since I would be attacking this project with glue and sticks, my base had to be cheap, so I found this cute reflective pair at Claire's. Next, I trolled the amazing collections of clay beads and charms along Manhattan's bead district but you can order any tchotchkes your heart desires from Amazon or Etsy. Once you have your design laid out, get out your strongest glue. (I recommend E6000 Permanent Craft Adhesive). Use a toothpick to apply the glue to the embellishment and adhere. Let your design dry overnight and voila, embellished sunglasses that are cheap, fun and sure to stand out in the crowd! –Michelle Kushner
