I’ve been a sucker for sexy heels since I was still in diapers, but one thing I learned early on is that nothing makes a set of stems look worse than a set of ashy ankles.

While I’ve never been a big fan of lotions – who really has the time to slather it on after a shower – baby oil left too much residue on the skin that could stick to other things. With limited time to get dressed and run to the bus in the morning, I test-drove a slew of sprayable lotions to maximize my moisture with minimal time and effort.

Everything changed when I got my hands on Shu Uemura’s Essene Absolue. I’d been a huge fan of the brand’s limited edition hair fragrance, which mixed many of the same oils in the form of pearls, stashing it to add shine to my strands for special occasions. So you can imagine my excitement at its newest iteration. The new spray is a dry oil blend of camellia, sesame, and almond oil that can be used on both skin and hair. It easily sinks into skin to nourish and add radiance. Plus, it allows you to put off on applying any perfume, cutting another step from my morning routine.
