Elie Tahari Gets a Leg Up for Fall 2014
Elie Tahari will give our gams a luxurious touch at the start of next year. The designer has partnered with Mallory & Church to create a line of legwear for men and women that will first hit shelves for Pre-Spring 2014 at Elie Tahari boutiques and department store for Fall 2014. It marks another step in the designer's foray into lifestyle, as he recently launched an eyewear collection with Color in Optics.
Both collections will be crafted from luxury yarns; the women’s will include classic opaque styles and statement-making prints for the assortment of tights, knee highs, thigh highs, anklets, and over the knee silhouettes while a range of casual, athletic, and dress socks will comprise the men’s collection.
Tahari wanted to add the legwear to his wheelhouse for some time now, and noted that hosiery has become an accessory to an ensemble. “Leg wear gives women the opportunity to express their individuality and truly make a look become their own, I am so thrilled to be adding this category to the Elie Tahari brand,” he said in a statement. “Partnering with Mallory & Church LLC, gives us the ability to design, create, and develop leg wear of the highest quality and with a well established partner who is so well respected in the industry.”
While we won’t be able to get our hands on the hosiery until next year at least, we’re already dreaming up all of his possible prints!
