Connie Britton could do no wrong as she stepped on the Emmy's carpet in a vibrant velvet Naeem Khan with a fresh St. Tropez tan care of Fiona Locke. To complement the luxe look, celebrity stylist Creighton Bowman tapped classic Hollywood for her tresses. “[W]e went with a very editorial Veronica Lake look, we wanted the Hollywood waves but with a little ‘disheveled elegance,’” he explained.
He began creating a clean slate for the Nashville star by shampooing her hair with Leonor Greyl’s Shampooing Revivscence. He skipped the conditioner, prepped the hair with the Lait Luminescence, and towel dried it. For added volume, he used the Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice from root to tip and blow dried her hair with a paddle brush and a few drops of the Serum de Soie. Bowman added some of the Gel a l’Hibiscus along the hairline for more control. He sprayed the Condition Naturelle on each section of the hair before her curled it with a half-inch curling iron. He created a deep side part before pinning the ciurls to cool, and misted a little Voluforme all over. Once the curls chilled out, her brushed out the waves with a paddle brush, backcombing parts of her hair with a wide tooth comb to give it an effortless flair and sealing the look with the Spray Structure Naturelle.
