Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne debuted a blonde 'do at last Emmy’s awards ceremony where her boyfriend Bobby Cannavale snapped up a golden statue for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. John Frieda’s Creative Consultant (and Glam favorite) Harry Josh styled the couple’s tresses, sharing some behind-the-scenes photos during the ceremony. Josh was inspired by Byrne’s fresh dye job to create polished waves à la Bianca Jagger.
“Rose’s recent transformation from brunette to blonde was a drastic change for the hair, which can often cause more frizz and overall unruliness, so it was crucial that we start with this serum for better manageability,” said Josh about starting the look with a healthy dose of the Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula before adding in the Curl Reviver Styling Mousse throughout her tender tresses. He used his new Pro Tools Pro Dryer 2000 with a wide nozzle to build volume. He wrapped her hair in Velcro rollers, allowing them to set for half an hour, and then curled ¼-inch sections of hair horizontally on a ¾-inch curling iron in the same direction. He set the curls with duckbill clips to cool off. Once chilled out, Josh let the waves down and flipped them over to mist of with the Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray to finish.
