Enter the Wonderful World of Lancome

Nope, it’s not a trip to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory (even though that would be amazing), but for a beauty buff, a virtual trip through the world of Lancôme might be on par.

Thanks to Kinect technology (mostly known through its development for the Xbox), travelers’ motions at Heathrow airport’s Terminal 5 can unlock the door to the brand’s heritage. According to Women's Wear Daily, people will be able to check out a reinvented Paris and open seven doors that each reveals a part of Lancôme’s history, including the origins of the iconic rose.

The project will also feature a 133-square foot podium and wall of 20 LCD screens so other’s can see what users are experiencing. Retails locations in Italy, China, and France will also be able to get a peek of the action after June 11 when the podiums are set up there as well.

Looks like we’ll have to book a ticket across the pond ASAP!
