Eva Mendes Gets a Classic Cut for Lucky

While we’re still speculating as to when we’ll see the Best Dressed Woman in the World, Kerry Washington, grace the cover of Lucky (we’ve got our fingers crossed for December), Eva Mendes shows off her effortless beauty and fresh cut on October’s cover.

Though she also serves as the face of Pantene, the screen siren’s tresses were put in the artful hands of Oribe himself. “Eva has amazing thick hair,” he noted, wanting to show of her natural texture with slightly shorter strands.

He snipped a classic style inspired by Cindy Crawford in the '80s by graduating throughout the bottom of the hair and layering in front to work the hair’s natural movement. Before she hit the set, he combed his eponymous Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse into her wet locks, allowing it to air dry. He finished the look with a blast of the Soft Dry Conditioner Spray for softness and luster.

No wonder she couldn’t keep her hands out of her hair on the cover!
