Exclusive: BCBG Max Azria Almost Goes Up In Smoke!

Talk about scorching style! If a blizzard couldn’t stop New York Fashion Week in February, a little smoke and flames won’t stop the BCBG Max Azria Group from moving forward with their shows.

A small fire broke out in the brand's office at approximately 11:30AM Wednesday in the midst of their hair and makeup tests for their upcoming fashion shows with Glam and Style in attendance to get the behind-the-scenes scoop. As makeup artist Val Garland and hair stylist Laurent Philippon prepped the models for Lubov Azria’s approval, some of the craft services equipment that was stationed in the office's hallway caught fire.

Though the blaze was small and was quickly put out with an extinguisher, the entire office was forced to evacuate (and walk down 18 flights of stairs). Once the office received the all-clear signal, it was back to business as usual as Garland and Philippon touched up the models for their final looks and test shots.

If this incident is any indication of what will hit the runway, the looks this season are sure to be hot, hot, hot!
