It's hard to believe that picture-of-perfection, Keira Knightley, was a late bloomer. The actress, who covers Glamour's July issue, said that she loathed her teens and early twenties. "I wasn't happy. It just wasn't working for me. [Personally], I was way too introverted. When I hit 25, for some reason, I didn't care anymore--I allowed myself to chill out. Since then, everything's been amazing."
Kate Hudson has an interesting way of dealing with the paparazzi. “I just look at the paparazzi and mentally cut their heads off,” InStylemagazine’s July cover girl said. “The negativity is just so vast. Will everybody stop being so damned judgmental? If someone wants to go get butt implants, then sure, go get butt implants. The real question is, ‘How do they treat the person next to them? Are they a-holes or are they awesome?’”
Did you know that Redbook’s July cover girl was gothic in college? “I wore white kabuki makeup, had blue-black hair,”Melissa McCarthy said. “At one point I shaved an inch and a half around my hairline and continued the white makeup up so it made my head look slightly deformed. I thought it was hilarious. I was in a little town and I got a kick of it. I was never sullen. I was a terrible punk—I was still so chatty."
House of Cards star Robin Wright directed the 10th episode of the Netflix hit series and she loved it. “I’ve been in this business almost 30 years, and I’m such a control freak,” Town & Country’s June/July cover girl said. “You’re sitting around knowing how a scene should be blocked or the direction an actor should be given, and biting your tongue. So the answer is, yes, I loved being in the driver’s seat. I honestly don’t want to act anymore.”
