Everything old is new again as Asia Argento looked into her cinematic past to pose as the new face for Ermanno Scervino.
The Voice Thiefactress stood in front of Francesco Carrozzini's lens in an old theater in Milan surrounded by movie poster-sized sketches of Scervino’s work for Fall, personifying the decadent glamour of Italian cinema’s heyday.
The campaign, which will run in July magazines, serves as a bridge between the designer and muse both personally and professionally. Asia is the daughter of horror legend Dario Argento, and has worked in the industry since she was nine years old. Scervino has known the younger Argento since she was little, according to Women’s Wear Daily. “I’ve always loved the world of cinema, and my latest collection is a clear reflection of this passion,” Scervino said. “I’ve known Asia since she was a little girl: she means cinema. I’ve watched her growing up and evolving — her image is so contemporary. Together we wanted to show a new style, which looks to the past but is projected into the future.”
