WHEN YOU TRAVEL OFTEN, you know exactly what your specific makeup needs are. If you’re smart, you’re working with a travel packing list and taking many multiple-use products to maximize your makeup stash. But what about the makeup bag that you pack your supplies in? Having the right kind of makeup bag makes the world of difference in your packing situation. I’ve tried and tested many different bags in my travels. Allow me to share five of my favorite brands of makeup bags!
Mocha Moon: Luxe, compact, and compartmentalized to perfection, the Mocha Moon Perez cosmetics bag is one of my favorites. The available colors and faux-leather finishes are gorgeous and jewel toned, and the removable compartments make packing easier.
Sonia Kashuk for Target: If you’re seeking a dazzling variety of colors, shapes, and capacities of cosmetics bags, look no further than Sonia Kashuk’s line for Target. You’ll find train cases and weekender bags, squares and rectangular bags, in animal prints or polka dots or chevron or floral. Her weekender bags feature Velcro-attached removable pouches and compartments big enough for your favorite full-size items.
Caboodles Femme Fatale It Bag: Every teenaged girl in the eighties wanted a Caboodles train case, and if you were lucky enough to have one of your own you were the envy of your classmates. The Caboodles train cases are still super cool and available at stores like Ulta, but for travel purposes we love the Femme Fatale It Bag. Cool enough to be a purse, but compartmentalized to fulfill your every makeup storage need.
EcoTools by Alicia Silverstone: I’m a fan of EcoTools in general – the brand devotes itself to producing high quality, environmentally friendly brushes and cosmetics applicators at drugstore prices. Their new line of makeup bags are designed by actress and known environmentalist Alicia Silverstone.
Conair Travel Smart: Sometimes it isn’t about pretty patterns or cool finishes. If you need an absolutely minimalist, efficient, get 'er done kind of cosmetics bag, then look no further than the Conair. It will fill all your "Decanterbury Tales" needs for repackaging your liquids into 3 oz travel sizes (hat tip to Beauty Blogging Junkie for the terminology)!
