Marni is taking its innovative aesthetic from prints to perfume. The Italian luxury line is turning commercial fragrances on its ear, forgoing the floral and fruity notes of recent releases for a blend of spicy and woody notes, accented with a heady injection of intense rose oil. One of the cutest features of the upcoming launch is a fabric “Huggy” doll that accompanies the purse spray with body lotion, shower gel, and a deo-fragrance to round out the range. With a shapely silhouette and a splash of spots, even the bottle has its own distinctive style, capturing the individuality of the Marni woman. “The perfume reflects Marni’s fashion certainly," Marni’s Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni, told Women’s Wear Daily. “It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric.” Will you give the new Marni scent a sniff when it hits shelves?
