Get the Look: Kim Kardashian’s Luscious Locks for the GQ Awards

Kim Kardashian turned heads as soon as she stepped on the GQ Awards’ red carpet in a beaded Ralph and Russo skirt over an Atsuko Kudo playsuit last night. But our focus was instantly drawn to shiny, tousled strands, which were crafted by hair guru George Northwood. The sylist revealed to The Telegraph that it only took 5 steps to nail the “undone and grungy” look to balance the glitzy gown.

1) He began by pumping up the volume at her towel-dried roots with Redken’s Rootful spray with a blast of the Pillow Proof Primer through the lengths and ends for heat protection and hold.

2) He then rough-dried Kardashian’s hair, stretching it at the root for lift and scrunching the ends for texture.

3) Once dry, Northwood created a deep side part and blow-dried the hair forward to flatten the hair around the temples and to create a shape that flatters her face.

4) He added extra texture by curling random sections of the hair with a wide-barreled iron for a loose wave.

5) Finally, Northwood shook out the waves with a pinch of Redken’s Powder Grip and Quick Tease to keep the texture throughout the festivities.
