Last night we got the chance to head backstage and check out the rehearsal for Libertine’s Fall 2012 show with senior artist for MAC, Chantel Miller. Channeling the dark and glittering styles of the collection into the models' look, Miller took the chance to try out the newest offerings from the beauty brand.
“It’s the first time I’m using a pressed pigment in general,” she said. She turned up the edge with spicy brown smoky eye from the brand’s upcoming Fall Trend Eye Palette with a touch of pressed pigment in Deeply Dashing swept above it.
She used MAC’s BB cream, which isn’t available yet in the U.S., only where it was needed on the face for a raw look. “It’s almost like a Radiant Touch product,” explained Miller. “It’s almost like a light bender, but it’s not a light bender that any other brand has. It goes on and it hits the light and – it makes you look young! And it makes the young girls stay young.”
For a slept-in feel, she used Pro Black Cream Liner on the outer 2/3 of the lid. She then slicked a little liner under the eyes only to wipe it away and painted on a few coats of Haute & Naughty Mascara to create clumps and perfect the morning-after look. The lips were understated as Miller applied Mattene Lipstick in Delectable and set it with Prep & Prime Loose Powder.
Overall, the Libertine girl needed to look like she just spent a great night out. “A casual, smoky – next morning chic,” she said. We think every girl will easily pull this off come fall!
