Golden Globes 2014: Allison Williams Goes Sultry and Glamorous
For her Golden Globes look, Allison Williams brought a modern touch to her sultry Hollywood glam makeup look. To get her modern smoky eye that so beautifully complimented her Alexander McQueen gown, the brunette beauty called on Avon’s Global Celebrity makeup artist, Lauren Andersen. She polished off her red carpet-worthy ensemble with a slicked-back ‘do, crafted by Anthony Campbell.
For the makeup:
First, Andersen groomed Williams' brows with Votre Vu Brow Wax. Next, she played up the star's baby blue eyes with a classic smoky eye using Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Urban Skyline. Andersen lined William’s eyes with Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black and then coated lashes with Avon Mega Effects Mascara. On her face, Andersen applied YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation and then dusted on Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light. Andersen swiped Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Petal on the apples of her cheeks. To complete the look, the makeup artist applied Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Ripe Rose to Williams’ lips.
For the hair:
To start off, Campbell washed and conditioned hair with Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner. He then gently towel dried hair, and applied a dollop of Wella Professionals Velvet and then an amplifier. He blow-dried the hair using a large flat brush to achieve pin straight strands, making sure the hairdryer wasn’t too hot, which can cause dryness, breakage, and frizz. Once the hair was completely dry, he created a deep side parting for added elegance. He ran a flat iron over hair, section by section, and finished off each piece with a light spray of Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray. For the finale, Campbell added a few drops of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to increase shine to hair for an added pop without weighing hair down or looking greasy.
