Golden Hearts Fill the Room for God’s Love We Deliver

Fashion and charity go hand in hand, but The 6th Annual Golden Heart Awards benefitting God's Love We Deliver was extra special, with one serious turnout. From Anna Wintour to Gwyneth Paltrow and Bette Midler to Linda Wells, fashion influencers and notable celebrities came out to support the cause, and a few of the charity's favorite supporters.

For the 2012 Golden Heart Awards, God's Love We Deliver honored three individuals who have pledged their time and effort throughout multiple years – Michael Kors, Ryan Murphy, and Cindy Little. Over dinner and a live auction, 600 guests toasted to the trio while raising over $1.35 million which marks the largest amount in the history of the charity. Being as giving as he is, Kors matched the donation by contributing an additional $5 million! “I'm thrilled to be honored,” Kors explained, “because they do such amazing work and everyone can get involved with God's Love We Deliver. Chop a vegetable and you're involved.”

With over twenty years of dedication to providing nutritious meals to those in need, Kors is undoubtedly a deserving honoree. “People like Michael [Kors] and Ryan [Murphy] are stepping up and saying this is something we can solve,” said Olivia Munn. [So for me,] it's very easy to say 'Yes I'm going to come.' You need to applaud people who take their efforts and platform and make the world better.”

While the evening provided a bounty of beautiful individuals – Nina Garcia, Aerin Lauder, Karolina Kurkova, Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, Chanel Iman, Brooklyn Decker to name a few – and endless laughs thanks to the close friendships Kors has created with many of the individuals in the room, it was a night to remember the important work that's been accomplished, and how dedicated everyone is to the continuation of powerful change.
