Guillaume Henry Takes Over As Nina Ricci Creative Director
Fashion musical chairs continue with moves at Nina Ricci and Carven. Guillaume Henry will be leaving Carven after five years to take up creative directorship at Nina Ricci. This news was the subject of speculation throughout Paris Fashion Week, and when asked about it backstage at Carven, he essentially confirmed the rumors. Carven announced a few days after the show that Henry would be leaving his position in November.
Peter Copping, who is moving to Oscar de la Renta (though the house has yet to announce it officially), precedes Henry at Nina Ricci. The search for a creative director at Carven is ongoing, but the house has until Henry's November departure to find someone to take over. Henry is scheduled to begin his new role on January 5, giving him just over a month to make a full fall/winter collection for the 2015 shows.
