Hillary Clinton Earns First Michael Kors Award
Hillary Clinton and her pantsuits—maybe not the scrunchies—just might be the apple of fashion’s eye. Quick overview, yes? She’s good friends with Oscar de la Renta, championed his exhibit at the William J. Clinton Presidential Center, was the first sitting First Lady to earn a Vogue cover, and those stylish accolades keep rolling in.
The former secretary of state will be presented with the very first Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service during the charitable meal providing service God’s Love We Deliver’s annual Golden Heart Awards.
“I am deeply honored to present Mrs. Clinton with this award that means so much to me,” Michael Kors told Women’s Wear Daily. “She is dedicated and enormously effective humanitarian whose commitment to community service encompasses the whole planet. Thanks to her talent, devotion and unrelenting efforts on behalf of those with much less, she has improved millions of lives and helped lay the foundation for a better, more just world.”
Sounds like a pretty good platform for a presidential campaign, right? Perhaps Kors is angling with Anna Wintour, hoping Clinton will run for president in 2016?
