H&M Studio Fall 2014
DESIGNER: Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at H&M, and her team.
INSPIRATION: Taking the Parisian spirit to the H&M world by mixing masculine and feminine styles.
TRENDS: The collection played up key pieces for autumn like cashmere sweaters and warm coats but with stylish details and an edgy mixing of pieces. Silk slips, draped dresses, and soft blouses were juxtaposed with menswear inspired outerwear, biker jackets, and slouchy trousers. Knee high boots and oversized shearling and faux fur coats gave the line a nonchalant-chic factor, while more refined looks like double breasted blazers and fluid jumpsuits really rounded out the collection.
PALETTE: Military green, orange red, midnight blue, crimson, brown, russet, white, black.
WHO WAS THERE: Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, Solange Knowles, Emmanuelle Alt, Joan Smalls.
WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: Women looking to update their wardrobe this fall with fashion forward but affordable pieces straight off the runway can do so starting September 4, 2014.
