How to Master the Wet Hair Look

Publish date:

We're always in awe of girls who can step outside with wet hair that looks more sexy and sleek than slimy and sopping. (Allow actress Megan Fox and model-mogul Heidi Klum to help you visualize the girls we're thinking of!) Lucky for us, backstage during Spring/Summer 2011 Paris Fashion Week, Redken's Creative Consultant Guido Palau showed us how to pull off the 'sexy & slick tresses trick' with one little tube.

It's Redken Hardwear 16 Super Strong Sculpting Gel (available at Redken salons for $13). For the easy, DIY looks created at Lanvin and Bottega Veneta, Guido says he constructed laissez-faire lacquered-up locks because he was inspired by a woman “rushing out of her apartment on her way to work—she’s on the go and letting her hair dry naturally.”

Sound like you? Should you be so inclined, create a glossy, wet-look finish in 1-minute flat. After you shampoo and condition, generously palm Hardwear 16 through your strands from root-to-tip, comb into desired style, and allow to air dry. The result? A perfectly molded style that's shiny (not greasy!) and gently held in place (not rock hard!). Plus it can be easily washed out.

Could going for 'fresh-out-of-the-water' sexy be any easier?
