The holiday season is officially over but the sale season is definitely in full swing. For all of you that didn’t get what you wanted under the Christmas tree, it’s time to take matters into your own hands. I’ll warn you, it’s a jungle out there! Follow my tips and sale shopping success will be yours.

1. Make a Game Plan
Don’t go sale shopping without a plan. Hefty discounts can be tempting and temptation can be trouble for the wallet. Come up equipped with a shopping list and a budget to avoid buyers remorse. I also recommend setting some ground rules, like “just say no to trendy items” or “nothing over $200 goes into the cart."

2. Check the Policies
Deep discounts can often mean final sale. Ask the cashier what your return options are before taking the plunge.

3. Don’t Forget Your Supplies
Post holiday sale shopping can be even more exhausting than holiday shopping. I suggest packing your bag with snacks, water, and aa cell phone charger. Speaking of bags, wear a cross-body bag to keep your hands free for sifting through racks.

4. Comparison Shop
Sale shopping can be exhilarating, everything out there sounds like a such a steal! Just know that better deals may be out there. Keep your smart phone handy for quick comparison shopping before swiping that card.

Hope those tips were helpful! Happy shopping and go clear those racks.
